Bringing the Humphrey Family Reunion website to life was equal parts creative sprint and learning curve — and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

From registration logistics to a single-page checkout, every step focused on creating a seamless experience for a multi-generational family. I usually design in Showit, but working in Wix Studio gave me a crash course in building smarter systems for small businesses and event websites.

It wasn’t just about launching a site — it was about creating something that felt warm, welcoming, and user-friendly for everyone from tech-savvy cousins to elder aunties.

What I Learned

While speed is a strength of mine, this project reminded me that what I’m really selling is care. From late-night testing to the extra steps setting up payments and admin handoff, every detail mattered.

Also, it confirmed this: Wix Studio can hold its own. With native tools like automations, conditional form logic, and built-in payments, it’s a powerful platform, especially when time, budget, or simplicity are top priorities.
