Hello there!
Launching Furbish Upholstery — A Custom Website Built for Growth, Not Just Speed
May 28, 2025
When Ann reached out, she knew what she wanted: a custom website that reflected the care and skill she brings to every upholstery project and workshop. What she didn’t want? A drawn-out process or a site that felt generic.
She was ready to invest in something real — a website that made her upholstery business look as polished and intentional online as she already is in her work.
The Project Scope
Ann runs Furbish Upholstery, a custom upholstery business offering restoration services and guided DIY workshops. She wanted a website design that made it easy for peAnn runs Furbish Upholstery, a custom upholstery business where she provides restoration services and offers guided DIY workshops. She needed a site that did three things well:
Clearly explain what she offers
Let people book a class without getting confused
Feel elevated but still approachable
We built her new brand and website using Canva and Wix Studio, focusing on a calm, earthy aesthetic with deep greens, neutrals, and artisan details that reflect her craft-forward approach. Booking setup, FAQs, estimate forms, and the mobile experience were all designed with simplicity and care.
The Process
We started with strategy — not just what to say, but how to say it in a way that felt like her. Then we moved into brand visuals, site structure, and finally, a full onboarding kit so Ann could manage the site with confidence after launch.
Transparently, there were a few tech hurdles (thanks, domain propagation), and a few delays on my end (life be life-ing), but we made space for communication, flexibility, and support. That’s what real collaboration looks like.
The Result
Ann now has a website that reflects her business — grounded, intentional, and ready for what’s next. From the new booking system to the custom Canva business card I designed as a thank-you gift, everything works together to help her show up with clarity and ease.
“The website looks great and I’m really happy with it! I’m still learning how to manage things, but everything Rianne shared has been super helpful. I appreciated her professionalism and the extra touches like the business card template.” – Ann Irwin of Furbish Upholstery
What I’m Taking With Me
This project reminded me of something important: while I may offer speed, that’s not really what I’m selling.
What I want my clients to feel — beyond “done in a weekend” — is cared for. Supported. Excited to share their work. Motivated to keep growing.
That’s the energy I want every site to carry: not just launched, but lived-in. Not just fast, but thoughtful.
Curious what this could look like for your brand?
If you’re ready for a small business website design that reflects where you’re headed — and not just where you’ve been — let’s talk.
